OCT 31, 2024 Well, y’all know I’m not usually political, and I hesitated before writing this. With all the rhetoric and back-and-forth from one side to the other—and even within the church—one side claims to know God’s will and the other claims the same, with prophets speaking their own messages. (I genuinely have no idea who’s going to win, and honestly, I haven’t even asked this year). But one thing I can say is that there seems to be a real disconnect between God, His people, and His servants. Anyway, I had a dream last week, and I felt led to share it.
In the dream, I found myself in a church setting, and then God began to speak. He said, “Who told you I was red or blue? I am the God who made all colors—who told you I was red or blue? How dare you make Me political, the God who created every shade. Do you not know there are colors in heaven beyond your ability to perceive, yet you try to define Me as red or blue? You cannot put Me in a box. I am not political.” Then I woke up and heard this scripture clear as day.
Matthew 6:28
28 … Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
