The short version: I often hear people say, “That favor ain’t fair” and I use to agree with them, but I came to the realization that favor “IS” fair. If Christ came that “we might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10. Why shouldn’t we have the favor? The fact of the matter is; that we are not in a place to receive some of His favor, (because if we are alive, we have favor)! “To live is Christ!” Philippians 1:21. “He’ll never put more on you than you can bear” is what we say. Which comes from 1 Corinthians 10:13, we often used this in an atypical way, but it also works the other way too. If you are not in a place to receive or (bare) His favor, He will not give it to you. It will be too much for you to handle. He will not be your support, and you will fall. “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” Proverbs 16:18. Favor is for all and not just for some, but we must be in that place to receive His benefits.
