I just had to say sorry. I was spending so much time disliking what the church had become that I was not doing anything to change its outcome. Mr. Rob, you were right, just talking about it would not help. We as a people have been so busy pointing at each other saying: “well, the church isn’t like it used to be,” and the older blame the younger, and so on. Nevertheless, it is our fault; we must stop going to church and start being the church.
Do you wonder why people leave the church? Because you did not do anything to keep them. Do you wonder why people are not growing? When was the last time you called, texted, emailed, on Facebook, MySpace, Skype, or even when over at their house? You wonder why the churches are still acting like it is 1492, have you fasted and prayed for your leader and first lady, deacon saints, and friends.
Moreover, if we are doing that, how are we doing it? Where’s your heart and your mind? Yeah, I sometimes know the one we look up to as our leader looks like their (3) fries short of a happy meal, but if they have God’s heart, you know they’re okay. Yes, sometimes they do not feel our pain and think we are crazy when we think outside the box of tradition. However, I do know they have the vision for that church and we must go with it.
I feel a shift as I’m typing, Young people don’t give up, your time is coming you’ve been in the corner long enough. God is raising up people who are called by His name; who ain’t scared of this Holiness thing. Who will open their mouth and speak? The world will hear you and the church will too. All you have to do is be real and going through what you got to go through your calling is great and like me, you have to go through some stuff that you do not want to.
Some people more than others, and yes! you are going to ask WHY!!!!!!!!!!!! Just remember whatever you go through, you can handle it. Moreover, when you come out you will have more power than you will know what to do with, and that is when you go out and help someone else.
Now I get It
